Itinerary

Day 01:Ballestas Islands, Ceviche Cooking Class, Ica Vineyards, Huacachina Oasis

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Lima, departing towards the beautiful southern coast of Peru. Our first destination is Paracas, a coastal paradise known for its incredible marine biodiversity and natural landscapes. After completing the entrance procedures, we will board a modern speedboat to explore the famous Ballestas Islands, often called the “mini Galapagos of Peru.” During this boat excursion, you will discover the impressive Candelabra geoglyph, observe colonies of sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and hundreds of seabirds while enjoying breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

Continuing our journey, we travel to Ica, one of Peru’s most famous desert regions, where we will visit a traditional winery to learn about the production of Peruvian pisco and wine. Enjoy a local tasting experience and a typical lunch before heading to the spectacular Huacachina Oasis, a hidden desert oasis surrounded by enormous sand dunes. Here, experience an unforgettable adventure with a thrilling dune buggy ride across the Ica desert and try sandboarding down the golden dunes. After exploring the oasis and taking memorable photos, we continue our private transfer to Nazca, where we will spend the night at a selected hotel.

Day 2: Nazca Lines Flight – Return to Lima

After breakfast, we will transfer you to Maria Reiche Neuman Airport for one of Peru’s most iconic experiences: a scenic flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines. From the air, admire the ancient Nazca geoglyphs, including fascinating figures such as the hummingbird, monkey, spider, condor, and other impressive designs carved into the desert thousands of years ago. During this approximately 30-minute flight, you will enjoy panoramic views and learn about the different theories surrounding the origin and purpose of these UNESCO World Heritage Site attractions.

After the flight, we will transfer you back to your hotel in Nazca.
At 2:00 p.m., you will board the Cruz del Sur bus for your return journey from Nazca to Lima.

Arrival in Lima is scheduled for approximately 9:30 p.m. Upon arrival, we will provide a transfer to your hotel in Lima.

We took the tour - Peru in 10 Days: From the Capital to the Inca Ruins with Flight Included - and had it slightly changed. The travel agency was flexible in adjusting the itinerary. They were generous enough to give us a hotel room upgrade in Lima and a free guide on our Wayna Picchu trek. This was a truly memorable Christmas since we spent it in Wayna Picchu and Machu Picchu which was on our bucket list. All other parts of the tour were great especially Huacachina and Rainbow Mountain. The Ceviche in the class & tasting part of the tour was the best one we tried as compared to the highly rated restaurants we visited in Lima. Highly recommended!

The day was full of wonderful surprises: from spotting incredible wildlife during the Paracas tour, to learning about the art of Pisco making during the tasting session, and finally the highlight of the day—exploring the Huacachina desert by buggy and witnessing a breathtaking sunset.
