    Itinerary

After picking you up from your hotel, we will travel to the train station to begin our journey to Machu Picchu.

The train ride is one of the highlights of the experience. During the 1.5-hour journey covering 112 kilometers (70 miles), you will enjoy spectacular views through the train’s panoramic windows and glass roof as it passes through the breathtaking landscapes of rural Peru. Along the way, you will see green mountains, winding rivers, and perhaps even spot llamas in their natural surroundings.

Once we arrive in Aguas Calientes, we will take a 25 to 30-minute bus ride up the mountain to reach the entrance of the Machu Picchu citadel. Your first view of this ancient Inca settlement is truly unforgettable.

Inside Machu Picchu, we will enjoy a 2.5-hour guided tour where you will learn about the fascinating history, legends, and secrets of the Inca civilization. During the visit, we will walk through the stone pathways of the citadel and explore important sites such as the Guardian’s House, one of the best viewpoints to admire the breathtaking scenery of Machu Picchu.

After the guided tour, we will take the bus back down to the village of Aguas Calientes. Here, you will have between 2 and 5 hours of free time to enjoy lunch, relax, or continue exploring the town and surrounding landscapes. The exact amount of free time will depend on the entry time to Machu Picchu and the return train schedule.

Finally, we will take the train back and then transfer you by bus to your hotel in Cusco, concluding this unforgettable full-day experience.
